Have you ever been stuck in an elevator and vowed to right all of your wrongs the moment you were free?  Ok well, me neither, but I have been a 20 year old trapped in a person marching into their 40’s!

I mean, how did this happen? It seems like just yesterday I was tripping down Sunset Blvd in ripped jeans with leopard print patches and a red motorcycle jacket (ok, not my finest fashion moment…). The next thing I know, I am a wife and a Mom, with two kids,mac makeup, a budget, and needing a push up bra!

But, there is hope, because as you all know 40 is the new 30, or is it 30 is the new 20? Well, I forget, (that must be the 40 year old’s mind), but the point is,cheap mac makeup, in todays fashion world everyone can look like a movie star.  I mean, how do you think those stars keep looking good year after year – aside from their personal trainers, weekly spa getaways, and creativity of their favorite plastic surgeons?   The clothes!  No matter what your body type or age, quality clothes can make you look and feel like a movie star.  So now you are saying, “Well, of course, if I had a movie star budget, I could look great too”.  That is the most fabulous part of all.  Now get ready, because this next bit of info is going to knock your polyester mix socks right off.

With sites like RTC, YOU DON’T NEED A MOVIE STAR BUDGET!  In fact,wholesale mac makeup, you don’t need a big budget at all if you research, plan, look for basics and above all, buy quality items that will last longer than your last pedicure.

Now, I have come to this conclusion slowly. Surprising, I know.  I mean, how many times does one have to look down and see their bra peaking out from their overstretched Target tank!

This may all seem overwhelming, but it is the most fun since big hair rock bands.  If you are a newbie and are not sure where or what to look for, just hang around RTC for a while.  The clothes are always quality, the shoppers and staff helpful, and the bloggers informative. You are never too old to make the change.  Although, there may come a time when it is no longer appropriate to dance on the table at your company Christmas Party,  great clothes are a must and prerogative of any age!

Today I would like to introduce you to a different kind of……………..buffalo wings -Vietnamese style buffalo wings. This is my favorite recipe for chicken wings. It is easy to make and taste good. My husband makes this dish anytime we have friends come over and they always praise on how good it is. All of the ingredients can be bought from any oriental food markets or from Amazon.com.
Indulgent: Vietnamese Style Buffalo Wings (Canh Ga Chien Nuoc Nam)
Ingredients:
3 lbs chicken wings
1 ½ cup of lukewarm water
1 table spoon fish sauce – nuoc mam
1 table spoon sugar
2 table spoon Hoisin Sauce
1 table spoon Sriracha Hot Chili Sauce (you can add more if you want more spicy

Directions:
In a large bowl, combine all the ingredients except chicken wings and stir to mix well. In a fryer or deep large saucepan, heat enough oil to almost cover the chicken wings, about 3 to 4 cups. Bring oil temperature to 350 to 375 degrees. (Chicken wings should sizzle upon contact with oil.) Deep-fry the chicken pieces, a few at a time, turning once,mac makeup, until golden and tender, about 10 minutes. Remove and drain on paper towels; keep warm. Continue frying the remaining chicken pieces. The skin of the chicken should be crispy and the meat very tender. If a crispier skin is desired, deep-fry briefly a second time. Remove the wings from the fryer and dip (1-2 wings at a time) into the mixture for about 15 seconds. Transfer the chicken wings to a large plate and ready to eat.

Healthy Dish – Shrimp Roll (Goi Cuon)

I would also like to introduce you to one of the Vietnamese popular food – Spring roll or goi cuon. Many of you may have known this dish. This dish is served cold. You can use any cooked meat or seafood combination that you prefer. You may want to omit meat if you are vegetarian.

Ingredients (group 1)
1 cup Fresh basil leaves, washed
1 bunch fresh mint leaves, washed
1 bunch fresh cilantro leaves, washed
1 head leafy lettuce, washed and separated
1 cucumber, peeled and cut into thin strips
1 cup bean sprouts, washed (optional)
Ingredients (Group 2) – to taste
Hoisin sauce
Chopped peanuts
Combine hoisin sauce and chopped peanuts to use as a dipping sauce
Ingredients (Group 3)
1 package clear edible rice paper sheet (spring roll wrapper – banh trang)
1 package vermicelli rice noodles, prepared according to the package directions
1 lb shrimp, boiled, peeled,wholesale mac makeup, and deveined
8 oz pork loin, boiled and thinly sliced
Directions
1. Make sure all meats cooked and rice noodles prepared and vegetables are cleaned, dried
2. Dip a sheet of rice paper wrapper into water very quickly and lay flat on a plate
3. Lay a small portion of noodles, a few strips of meat, some shrimps (usually 2, lay in a line), some cilantro, mint,cheap mac makeup, and basil leaves, a lettuce leaf, some cucumber strips, and bean sprouts (optional) – be careful not to overstuff
4. Carefelly start to roll up the eggroll style, tucking in the sides, then continue to roll up – but not too tight or the roll will split
5. Dip into the prepared hoisin sauce and eat (May also served with prepared Fish sauce)
6. Serve immediately; make as many as you plan to serve as they will not taste good if keep in a fridge

Denim Day at Red Tag Crazy was coming. New jeans, new brands… what size do I wear, what style do I like, what’s a girl to do? Well, this girl got in the car and drove 1 ½ hours to a beautiful store called Halls in Kansas City on the Plaza.

For this momentous occasion, I wore my newly tailored Paige Blue Heights skinnys and teal Linq ¾ sleeve top. I was RTC stylin’!

It was a beautiful day as I headed to Kansas City; blue sky, crisp breeze, spring in the air. But who cared about any of that! I was headed for four walls, a mirror and piles of beautiful jeans.

When I arrived at Halls, I informed the attentive sales girl that I would be trying on jeans. I don’t think she quite understood the magnitude of my statement. At first she helped me pick out styles and sizes, but as the day wore on, she soon tired of my quest and left me alone to fend for myself. (Which was probably for the best since she may have been alarmed by the camera flashes going off inside my sequestered dressing room!).   I have to say that I tried on so much denim, the front of my legs were red raw from pulling jeans on and off.

Here is a list of all the designer brands I tried on: AG, Rich and Skinny, Citizens of Humanity, 7 for All Mankind, Joe’s Jeans, William Rast, J Brand,mac makeup, David Kahn, True Religion, and Rock and Republic.

At the end of the day, the sales girl kindly thanked me for nicely refolding my mountains of denim (I thought to myself, but of course, you must respect the denim,wholesale mac makeup!).

Here is what I found out.

1. After all the different styles that I had tried and rejected in William Rast, I finally found out that the Sadie Straight Legs actually fit me perfectly! They run very big and I had to size down a whole size.

2. Joe’s Jeans run a bit on the big size, but I still wore my normal size. Surprisingly, I liked the fit of the Muse the best, but the Honey was also a sexy snug fit. Although, the Honey may be tighter in the waist than I normally like. The Socialite was also a good fit, although I would probably end up taking in the waist just a bit. All of the Joe’s Jeans were so soft and comfortable, too.

3. J Brand denim runs small and I had to size up one whole size for them to fit comfortably.

4. David Kahn Nikki jeans were a perfect fit for me in every way.

5. AG denim fit, but I don’t think they looked as good on me as some of the others. But then, the store only had the Club in my size. However, the AG Liberty crops are going to be mine before summer even if I have to pay full price for them (well, no, not really, but a girl can dream). The crops, by the way, ran small and I had to size up one whole size. Lastly, the stilts were just not a good fit for me.

6. True Religion sizing was all over the place. Depending on the style, I would have to size up, then size down, up, then down… it really makes buying them online difficult! The new pockets were kind of cool, though!

7. Rich and Skinny were a good fit for me in my standard size.

8. 7 for All Mankind was ultra confusing. Every pair I tried on fit differently. There would be one style that fit nice,cheap mac makeup, like the standard boot cut and then the next would be just awful. I could never really get a handle on my sizing and fit for 7’s… oh well, I didn’t really love any of the pairs I tried on anyway!

9. I tried on a pair of Citizens of Humanity Destiny flares that were absolutely to die for!

10. And Lastly, Rock and Republic was just all wrong for me in every way imaginable. I tried on TONS of pairs and they all did two very special things on my body. First, they gapped in the waist, even when I sized down to where the rest of the pant was so tight I could hardly move. Second, they were “butt flatteners”… loose, tight, in-between… major butt flatteners.

What will I buy on denim day? I am not sure, but at least now I know my size which, by the way, was a whole size down from what I thought it was! I highly recommend a denim sizing day for those of you who are unsure of your size in designer denim and, well, just for fun. Someone on Chick Chat (I think it was Sam) asked me afterward if I was tempted to buy while at the store. Truthfully, I told her, no, I wasn’t because I know that sooner or later I will get just what I want from RTC. I can be patient. When it comes to denim, I want every pair to fit like they are the pair I am going to wear everyday. And lets face it… The price on RTC is worth the wait!
